Saturday, March 22
Around 9:30 pm Saturday night I (Sena) got a call and txt at about the same time saying that our house was on fire. I went upstairs to where the grownups were and told them. My mom said it was just a joke and go back to watching my movie. When I got back downstairs I had a lot more txts asking if everyone was alright and telling me that our house was on fire. So once again I told the grownups. My mom called our next door neighbors, they didn’t answer, then the next neighbors over, their line was busy, then she called a volunteer fire fighter’s bar that he owned, he wasn’t there and nobody at the bar knew of any fires. She finally got hold of our neighbors and found out that our house was really on fire. We didn’t know what to do. We were all thankful that we weren’t home and that no one got hurt. My parents and Steve left Rochester at about 10:00 pm that night so they could get home. Sever and I stayed in Rochester with Kim, Matt, and Carrin and we would leave right away in the morning. I didn’t care how early we would leave Sunday, I just wanted to go with my parents that night. Nobody really got any sleep that night. Kim dropped Matt and Carrin off at some friends so they didn’t have to miss school and she didn’t want them to come. We left around 9:00 am Sunday and got to my house around 2:00 pm. Talk about a ride seeming a lot longer then it really is. It felt like we were in the car for a least 10 hours.
